John Brent Watkins, also known as Gunner, is a singer songwriter and musician from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Hailing from Glace Bay, he has been performing since 2020. From his solo act as Gunner, to playing with his band Renegade, he's been making a name for himself and gaining recognition as a musician over the last few years. "The Journey" marks his emergence as an artist and singer-songwriter. The first of several songs to be included on his debut album, to be recorded at Mike MacDougall’s Workshop Studio in Halifax, starting in the fall. His passion for music and the stage is evident in every performance he gives. Now he's set to continue pushing forward onto the big stage and share his love for music with the world.
